About Equus Records

(pronounced "ek-wus", which is Latin for "horse") was founded by Emmy Award winning producer, TV Host and radio DJ Christopher Ewing who, for years, has been a huge supporter of independent artists and their music.  "There are countless independent singers and bands out here who are making some great music and the goal for Equus Records is to help those artists get the recognition they truly deserve", says Ewing.  Through his extensive background in the entertainment world, from television to radio, film, media, etc., Ewing has created one of the best new indie labels on the music scene today.   With an excellent team of industry professionals, Equus provides artists with A&R services, worldwide music distribution, booking agents for scheduling live performances, extensive marketing/promotion services and more!

Sunset Gower Studios is a 14-acre television and movie studio located at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Gower Street in Hollywood. The studios were originally founded as Columbia Pictures Studios by movie mogul Harry Cohn in 1921. The studio lot continues to this day to be one of Hollywood's largest studios, and an active facility for television and film productions on its twelve soundstages.

Including the historic shorts of "The Three Stooges",  such classics as Frank Capra’s "It Happened One Night" in 1934,  "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" in 1939, "Funny Girl""The Caine Mutiny" and many more were all filmed on the Sunset Gower Studios lot.  Besides productions of top films, television shows such as "Scandal", "Newsroom", "How to Get Away with Murder", "Pair of Kings","Heroes""Dexter"
"Deal or No Deal""Six Feet Under","JAG""Married... with Children""Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Blossom", "Soap","I Dream of Jeannie","Bewitched""The Golden Girls", "Judge Judy", "Minute to Win It",
"Let's Make a Deal" and many, many others currently occupy, or have occupied, several sound stages on this historic lot.  Numerous music videos have also be filmed on the lot.
